Tsinghua University, formerly known as Tsinghua Xuetang, was founded in 1911 and renamed as Tsinghua School in 1912. In 1928, it was renamed as National Tsinghua University. Eligibility for Application:

• Applicants must be foreign nationals, in good physical and mental health, and exhibit friendliness towards China. They should possess a high school graduation certificate.

• Demonstrated outstanding academic performance. Supporting documents may include (but are not limited to) the following:

High school/university (if applicable) transcripts in Chinese or English.

National/regional graduation exam/entrance exam certificates.

Results of international standard tests (e.g., SAT/ACT/A-Level/AP/IB/other) or international STEM tests (e.g., THUSSAT International STEM Test/TIST/other).

Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 5 or above with a score of 60 or above in each subject.
