Henan University of Chinese Medicine, located in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, is a provincial key university jointly established by the People’s Government of Henan Province and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and a characteristic backbone university in Henan Province. The predecessor of the school was the Henan Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Training School founded in 1953. In September 1958, Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established; in 1981, the school was approved as the first batch of master's degree conferring units, and in January 2009, it was determined to be a doctoral degree authorized construction Unit; In 2012, the school became a university of the "National Central and Western Higher Education Revitalization Plan"; on January 26, 2016, the Ministry of Education approved Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine to be renamed Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine; on March 10, 2016, Henan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine officially changed its name Henan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
