Henan University

Henan University is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Henan Province and the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. The national "Double First-Class" construction university has been selected into the national "111 Plan", the basic capacity building project of colleges and universities in the central and western regions, the excellent doctor education and training plan, and the outstanding legal talents. In 1912, Lin Boxiang and other Henan educators established the Henan Preparatory School for Studying in Europe and America on the former site of the Kaifeng Gongyuan in the Qing Dynasty; in 1923, General Feng Yuxiang expanded it to Zhongzhou University; in 1927, it was rebuilt into the Fifth National Sun Yat-Sen University; in 1930 , was named Henan University for the first time; in 1942, it was changed to National Henan University with the support of Mr. Yu Youren and others; in 1948, Zhongyuan University was established with the support of Deng Xiaoping and Chen Yi; in 1952, the department was adjusted and renamed Henan Teachers College, Later, it went through stages such as Kaifeng Normal University and Henan Normal University; in 1984, the name of Henan University was restored. In 2022, the registration place of Henan University will be changed from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou.

As of September 2022, the school has Zhengzhou Longzihu Campus, Kaifeng Minglun Campus, and Jinming Campus, covering a total area of more than 5,500 acres (Zhengzhou Campus covers an area of 2,042 acres), and the total amount of literature and information resources in the collection is nearly 13 million volumes. ; There are 36 colleges (teaching and research departments), offering 99 undergraduate majors; 19 post-doctoral research stations, 21 first-level discipline doctoral programs, 48 first-level discipline master’s programs, and 30 master’s professional degree authorization categories; There are more than 4,600 employees; there are nearly 50,000 full-time students.
